We are currently recruiting for a Senior Associate to join our Corporate Banking & Finance team in London. 

As a Senior Associate in the Corporate Business Unit, you will be expected to contribute to the growth and development of the Commercial Division while maintaining a consistent level of excellent client service. You will support the Corporate Business Manager/Sector Lead in achieving the Business Plans for the Corporate Business Unit and our Banking & Finance sector group, respectively. Additionally, you will have line management responsibility for a small team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective and efficient work on your own matters, ensuring profitability and appropriate resourcing
  • Build strong relationships with existing clients and referrers by exceeding service expectations, and support partners in managing and developing larger key clients when appropriate
  • Clearly agree on the services provided to clients, establishing a transparent basis for charging and pricing
  • Develop a profile as an established expert in banking and finance work
  • Contribute ideas to the Corporate and Banking & Finance business plans and demonstrate new business success from business development activities
  • Expand your network of clients and referrers, supporting partners in pursuing target clients, intermediaries, and contacts to build a pipeline of new business
  • Help manage Corporate and Banking & Finance sector group and cross-functional projects and initiatives, taking specific responsibility and accountability
  • Develop a clear understanding of the Corporate and Banking & Finance sector group KPIs and performance, as well as your personal contributions toward these goals
  • Stay informed about changes in the legal sector or practice area, contributing ideas to the Corporate Business Unit and Banking & Finance sector group strategies, including product and service lines, and take responsibility for driving parts of those strategies
Skills, Experience, and Attributes
  • Solicitor 6+ PQE
  • Previous experience within a Banking & Finance team
  • Experience of dealing with lenders and borrowers
  • Solid business plan for growth proposition within the Corporate Business Unit/Banking & Finance sector 
  • Real estate finance exposur advantageous
