An opportunity has arisen for a Salaried Partner  to join our Thames Valley Dispute Resolution team .

Our strong team of Dispute Resolution solicitors based in our offices in London, the Thames Valley and South West England are some of the most experienced in their field. We provide specialist legal advice across numerous industry sectors in order to arrive at tailored and pragmatic solutions that best fit our clients’ needs.

Our clients cover a very broad range from multi-national corporations to start-up businesses. We frequently advise on multi-million pound international disputes but we also have experience in helping individuals to get what they deserve, quickly and effectively.

A significant part of our work involves disputes spanning international borders and involving parties in  foreign jurisdictions. We have access to a network of international contacts comprising the Interleges international alliance of trusted law firms, of which RWK Goodman is a founder member, in over 20 countries including the EU, Middle East and North and South America.

Duties will include: 

  • Effective and efficient delivery of work on own files, ensuring matters are profitable, whilst taking responsibility for the supervision of more junior fee earners with regards to file management and time recording
  • Act as the senior lawyer on the most challenging matters. A recognised expert in your discipline/sector
  • Build effective relationships with own clients and / or referrers by exceeding client service expectations and where appropriate, support partners on the management and development of larger key clients.
  • Manage a client review process and introduce changes based on feedback
  • Expand your area of business by broadening your area of expertise into new client sectors/markets or achieving greater market share
  • Lead on the generation of thought leadership based on changes in the law, market trends or other relevant material to attract new opportunities
  • Actively manage performance within your team
  • Develop yourself and others in line with the Leadership behaviours and embody our values both internally and externally. Support and engage in firm-wide events
  • Responsible for managing and supervising work in the team to achieve all financial and non-financial KPIs. Use management information to understand the performance of self and team
  • Ensure profitability on matters for self and team through understanding the contractual basis on which legal services are provided, including how to calculate and manage costs and bill clients
Skills, Experience, and Attributes
  • An experienced qualified Solicitor or CILEx
  • Experience of corporate disputes, shareholder disputes, partner disputes and contract disputes desirable
  • Gravitas and credibility within the Thames Valley Commercial Litigation area
  • Desire to help build and grow the Dispute Resolution team in the region
